This is a favorite Christmas beverage for our family. I loved drinking this while wrapping presents, trimming the tree or just sitting with cup in hand watching the fire dance in the fireplace during the cold winter night.

Cranberry Tea

This is a favorite Christmas beverage for our family. I loved drinking this while wrapping presents, trimming the tree or just sitting with cup in hand watching the fire dance in the fireplace during the cold winter night.

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup orange juice no pulp
  • 12-16 oz cranberries fresh

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a covered pan.
  • Add cranberries and cinnamon. Boil 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat
  • Let stand over night.
  • Strain cranberries and cinnamon with slotted spoon.
  • Add sugar, lemon juice and orange juice.
  • Reheat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Serve hot.
